Rick is the author of one of the best-selling series of guidebooks to Europe and is the host, writer and producer of the popular public television series Rick Steves' Europe and of a recently launched weekly public radio program, Travel with Rick Steves.

In addition to his guidebooks and television series, Rick is a syndicated newspaper columnist and a regular on the op-ed page of USA Today.  He appears frequently on television, radio, and the Internet as an authority on independent European travel.

His company, Europe Through the Back Door (ETBD) runs a successful European tour program with over 300 departures -- attracting over 10,000 travellers annually.

As if this isn't enough, Rick last year launched a new line of luggage and travel accessories.
