The first Frommer's travel
guide, Arthur Frommer's
Europe on $5 a Day, published
in 1957, opened Europe to legions
of American travellers who
once believed that European
travel was only for the super
rich. Frommer helped to make
travel accessible for everyone.
Since then, Frommer's has developed
more than a dozen travel series
each designed to meet a different
travel need, but the series'
mission remains faithful to
its original mission -- to
make travel a time of adventure
and self-discovery.
Frommer's guides feature:
- Up-to-date information
- Lots of useful details
- Exact prices, rather than
price range, for hotels and
restaurants and other establishments
- Highly readable conversational
reviews
- Fold-out maps, color photo
inserts, and online directories
in many of Frommer's Complete
Guides
