DK
Eyewitness Guides
If you're planning to reuse one of your Eyewitness
Travel Guides, beware. Beginning this spring,
the guides are getting updated and a new look.
Back in 1993, DK launched the first four Eyewitness
Travel Guides: London, Paris, Rome and New York. Using
pioneering innovations, such as 3-D mapping, building
cutaways, floor plans, guided walks, and evocative photography,
each guide truly showed travelers what others only told
them.
The new guides, beginning with 18 destinations, feature
expanded hotel and restaurant listings, better maps,
modernized typography, and enhanced itineraries. A new “Four
Great Days” feature in the city guides provides
travellers with a unique mix of activities to help them
get the most out of their trip. The new “Discovering” feature
in the country guides highlights the key attractions
of each region, so travelers can decide at a glance
which places are best suited to their desires.
