| Genuine
Split Leather - usually the
stronger leather originates from the
top of the animal hide where the fibers
are tighter. It is durable, supple,
and more water repellant. Often it
is buffed or sanded to reduce natural
blemishes. Genuine leather has a slight
shine to its appearance.
Florentine Napa Leather
- is a softer leather since it has
been exposed to more buffing which
gives it a soft, natural feel. The
fibers are looser than in the genuine
leather and the process it undergoes
to get its softness may make it weaker.
It can be polished easily to maintain
its softness. |
