You may return any product in new condition within
30 days of receipt of your order, you may return a defective
product at any time. We'll refund the shipping cost
if the return is a result of our error.
Products returned in new condition must include the
original packaging and accompanying accessories. Items
returned more than 30 days after delivery are returnable only at our discretion and only with our permission. Returns not in saleable condition or with missing parts may be accepted for return at our discretion and, if accepted, will be assessed a restocking fee.
Refunds are made in the same form of payment originally
used for purchase within 7 business days of our receiving
your return. If you are returning a gift, you will receive
a gift certificate for the value of your return, which
may be used at any time toward your purchases at The
Savvy Traveller. The gift certificate will be mailed
to the gift recipient at the same address to which the
order was shipped.
Please include with your return the following:
- the date of your purchase
- your name, address and telephone number
- your credit card information for credit purposes
We normally ship via USPS Priority Mail. If you
within a speedier time frame,
let us know. We may be able to accommodate your needs. The
shipping fees shown below apply to orders shipped via
ground services, and only within the continental U.S.
For orders to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and other
destinations, and for express orders, there will be
an additional shipping charge.
To calculate when you will receive an item, you need
to consider the availability of the items you are ordering
as well as the shipping option you select.
If you select standard shipping for U.S. shipments
and your items are in stock, the shipping time will
be 2 to 8 business days, depending on where the package
is being shipped.
If everything is not in stock at the time you place
your order, we will communicate with you directly to
determine whether you would like us to hold your order
until it is complete or you would like us to ship the
items as they become available. Usually we'll hold the
order until all of the items are available. Multiple
shipments incur multiple shipping charges.

Orders shipped to locations in Illinois are subject
to a 9.5% sales tax. Orders to some other states are added at the time of purchase.
We accept American Express, Visa and MasterCard, The
Savvy Traveller gift certificates, and checks, money
orders, or cashier's checks denominated in U.S. dollars
and drawn on a U.S. bank.
Sometimes, our suppliers run out of stock or make
minor changes in design. When this happens, we will
either inform you that an item is unavailable or substitute
an item with one of comparable value, possibly from
a different manufacturer.
|Secure Credit Card Payment
The Savvy Traveller guarantees that every transaction
you make at The Savvy Traveller is safe.
Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry
standard and among the best software available today
for secure online commerce transactions. It encrypts
all of your personal information, including credit card
number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read
as the information travels over the Internet.
Should something go wrong, you still pay nothing for
unauthorized charges made to your card as a result of
shopping at The Savvy Traveller. Under the Fair Credit
Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more
than $50 of fraudulent charges. If your bank holds you
liable for any of this $50, The Savvy Traveller will
cover the entire liability, up to the full $50. The
Savvy Traveller will cover this liability only if the
unauthorized use of your credit card resulted through
no fault of your own from purchases made at The Savvy
Traveller while using the secure server. In the event
of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify
your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting
rules and procedures.
Still don't want to use your credit card on the Internet?
No problem. Just fill out our order form online. Enter
only your card's last five digits and its expiration
date. Once you have fully submitted your order, you
may call us with your credit card number or we will
telephone you to obtain the rest of your card number.
Visible Damage: Any external evidence of
loss or damage must be noted on the bill of lading
(freight bill) or express receipt and signed by the
carrier's agent. Failure to adequately describe such
external evidence of damage may result in the carrier
refusing to honor a damage claim. The form to file
such a claim is provided by the carrier. DO NOT RETURN
DAMAGED MERCHANDISE TO THE SAVVY TRAVELLER OR THE
Concealed Loss or Damage: Concealed loss
or damage means that the contents may have been damaged
in transit due to rough handling, even though the
carton may not show external damage. If concealed
damage is discovered, make a written request, within
15 days of the delivery date, for inspection by
the carrier's agent and file a claim with the carrier.
